The Grand Maitre is a low-blooming crocus with a deep, intense purple color. This flower can still bloom well in areas with little sunlight, making it ideal for filling empty shady spots in the garden. This crocus variety has the added benefit of attracting bees. In early spring, when there is not much food available for bees, the flowers provide an important source of nectar.
