The Gladiator is an early-blooming ornamental onion. This allium has beautiful lilac-purple flowers that appear in late spring to early summer. It loves quite a bit of sunlight, so make sure to choose a sunny/partially shaded spot in your garden to plant it. This ornamental onion is a favorite of bees and butterflies and attracts them readily. If you want to place the flowers in a vase, cut them when the flower buds are half open for the longest lifespan as a cut flower.
