The Globemaster is certainly the longest-flowering allium, achieving a flowering period of six to eight weeks. During these weeks it continually produces new, fresh flowers. The large, ball-shaped inflorescence consists of more than 1,200 small purple flowers. With its sturdy stem of almost 1 metre, it withstands every storm.
